About District 67

District 67 is completely within Riley County limits, including parts of the city of Manhattan, and parts of the Ashland, Manhattan, and Wildcat townships.

The district consists of roughly 22,557 people (according to censusreporter.org 12/23/2024) across 17.7 square miles.

According to certified results of the 2024 General Election from the Kansas Secretary of State, Angel Roeser defeated her opponent 5704 (52.43%) to 5175 (47.57%). She also defeated her primary opponent 643 (51.11%) - 615 (48.89%) in August 2024.

The former district 67 representative is retired United States Army lieutenant general, Michael L. Dodson, who had previous political experience as a city commissioner and served as mayor of Manhattan, Kansas from 2015 to 2018.

Apply for an Internship

Kansas Legislative Internship Program

The Kansas Legislature will have internships available for the 2026 Legislative Session. Any student who is enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary education institution and will be earning credit for their learning experience or is making academic progress in their educational course of study is eligible to apply. No specific major is required, but strong oral and written communication skills, and a basic understanding of government and the legislative process, are helpful.
